How do I get to your property?

The closest city to us is Arezzo, approximately an hour south of Florence by car or train. It is easy to reach from both Milan and Rome on the national railway network Trenitalia. We pick you up from the station forecourt for the short drive to the villa. Normally this is as a group, but if you cannot meet the pick-up time, we can make other arrangements. A fee may apply.

Can we bring our own vehicle?

You’re welcome to arrive by your own transportation. There is limited parking on the property. Please advise us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Please inform us as early as possible about any dietary needs you have. Italian food is one of the joys of the world and we want you to experience it to the fullest extent possible. We will do our best to give you meals and options that respect your needs and allow you embrace the local cuisine.

Are classes and tours in English?

Our instructors and/or guides are English-speaking or bilingual. Of course, learning a few phrases in Italian is also part of increasing the enjoyment of your trip, so expect to pick up some useful expressions along the way!

I'm a painter, but my partner is not. Can s/he come along?

Certainly! All of the locations you may visit during your stay are worthy of exploring with a sense of curiosity and an eye for photography. Joining in the cooking classes, the wine and olive oil tours, dining at local restaurants etc. All of the program (except the painting) is open to everyone.

Do you accept group bookings?

We love having groups come to stay. Please contact us directly on info@greattuscanescapes.com to discuss your preferred dates. We can accommodate up to 20 guests. The property is ideal for tours wanting to make a local base for a week, family holidays, workshops and conferences, and retreats. Let us know what you’d like to do and we can help make it happen.

Are you LGBTQI+ friendly?

We most certainly are! Please feel completely at ease and be your fabulous self. Respect, acceptance and kindness are non-negotiable. Particularly for LGBTQI+ groups, our 20-guest capacity means you can have the property just for you, including the totally private garden and pool area. We even have one of those inflatable rainbow unicorn pool toy thingys. Yasssss!! at your discretion. 

Is the property suitable for children?

Our painting programs and food & wine tours are primarily designed for adults, but budding artists 12+ are welcome to participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian. For any other bookings such as family holidays or events, children of any age are most welcome. If babysitting is required, we can arrange this for you at nominal cost.

I’m a solo traveller. Can I come by myself?

Yes, you are most welcome. Although if word gets out that you’re going to Italy, chances are some friend will want to come along. Still a solo traveller? There is a supplement of €500. If you are open to sharing with another solo traveller, we will only pair you with someone of the same gender.
